Leadership in the Catholic parish is, above all, a call to service — to follow the model of Christ who washed the feet of his disciples. Our parish is guided by a team of pastoral and lay leaders who offer their gifts, their time, and their prayer for the good of the whole community.
Our Parish Priest
The priest of St. John the Baptist Parish serves as pastor, celebrant, and shepherd of our community — appointed by the Bishop to preach the Gospel, celebrate the sacraments, and provide pastoral care and leadership to all who belong to this parish family.

Parish Council
Our Parish Council is an elected body of dedicated lay parishioners who collaborate with the pastor in discerning the direction of parish life — bringing the wisdom, gifts, and perspective of the broader community to bear on parish governance and mission.
Parish President
Parish CouncilChairs the Parish Council, coordinates lay leadership activities, and serves as a key liaison between the pastoral team and the parishioner community.
Parish Secretary
Parish CouncilMaintains the records of the Parish Council, coordinates communications, and ensures that parish decisions are well-documented and communicated to the community.
Parish Treasurer
Parish CouncilOversees the financial stewardship of the parish — preparing budgets, managing accounts, and ensuring the transparent and responsible use of parish resources.
Ministry Coordinators & Volunteers
Each of our active ministries is guided by dedicated volunteer coordinators who give generously of their time and expertise to sustain the life of the parish.
Faith Formation Coordinator
Oversees the religious education programs for children, youth, and adults — developing curriculum, recruiting and supporting volunteer catechists, and ensuring that formation programs are vibrant and effective.
Youth Ministry Leader
Coordinates all youth and young adult ministry activities — building a program that meets young people where they are and accompanies them in their faith journey with energy and authenticity.
Liturgy Committee Chair
Coordinates liturgical planning, works with the priest to prepare the Sunday celebration, and oversees the formation and scheduling of all liturgical ministers.
Outreach & Social Justice Lead
Coordinates the parish's community outreach and social service activities — connecting parishioners with opportunities to serve and organizing parish responses to community needs.
CWL President
Leads the Catholic Women's League — one of the oldest and most active lay organizations in the parish — in its mission of faith, service, and advocacy on behalf of women, families, and the vulnerable.
Knights of Columbus Grand Knight
Leads the local Knights of Columbus council in its charitable, fraternal, and faith-based activities — a key pillar of lay Catholic leadership in the parish and broader community.
Discerning Your Call to Leadership
Leadership in the parish is not a privilege reserved for a few — it is a calling open to every person willing to offer their gifts in service of the whole community. We actively encourage parishioners to discern how they might be called to serve in a greater capacity, whether through elected Parish Council positions, ministry coordination, or volunteer leadership roles.
If you feel moved to offer more of yourself in service to our parish community — if you have gifts of organization, communication, pastoral sensitivity, teaching, or practical skill that you'd like to put at the service of the whole — we warmly invite you to speak with our pastor or Parish Council about how you might contribute.
